Today Bay Diesel & Generator is a qualified sales, service, and parts provider for most major brands of diesel engines and electrical generators. Our Worldwide Sea Services Division overhauls and repairs diesel main propulsion engines aboard ocean-going vessels all over the world. We are the North American distributor and service agent for Cedervall shaft seals. We provide preventative and corrective maintenance for the emergency power systems of some of the largest hospitals, data centers, and communications facilities in Virginia. We are the exclusive distributor for Generac Power Systems in central and southeastern Virginia and southern West Virginia. Our sales engineers are experienced graduate engineers who can respond to specifications and requirements with technically solid solutions and then coordinate with the factory to insure that the solution ordered is the solution delivered.

HIGH SPEED DIESEL ENGINE SERVICE TECHNICIAN
We are seeking diesel specialists with experience in mid-sized (up to 4,000HP)engines. We expect our technicians to be good at both trouble shooting and fixing engines, including complete overhauls. Our specialty is working on marine engines, but we also have customers whose engines are ashore. Most of our work is at customer sites, so our technicians must be able to favorably represent the company while correctly diagnosing and resolving equipment repairs. We expect our technicians to have their own hand tools.
ELECTRICAL GENERATOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN
We are seeking competent service technicians who can service (maintain, troubleshoot and fix) generators and also participate in the start-up of new units.
We service all major brands, and we sell primarily Generac stand-by power gensets. All of our work is at customer sites. Generally, our work starts out as scheduled maintenance, and then proceeds to recommending preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to the owner so that the system is dependable and ready to operate flawlessly when the need arises. Must be able to use computer diagnostic tools to service the gensets and have excellent good customer service skills. We expect our generator technicians to have their own hand tools.
LARGE BORE DIESEL ENGINE TECHNICIAN
We are seeking qualified diesel technicians to repair shipboard main propulsion engines (2,000 HP to 108,000 HP).
Our large bore engine technicians often travel worldwide, providing maintenance and repairs to ships in port and underway. The job requires highly developed skills and personal flexibility. We expect our large bore technicians to have their own hand tools.
