Scott Wheeler founded Bay Diesel in 1982 after having spent 10 years with Virginia Tractor Co. as a marine engine specialist. Now in his 30th year as the President of Bay Diesel Corp. Scott has established Bay Diesel’s reputation as one of the most reliable and capable industrial service companies in the Mid-Atlantic. “Even though my job is to look out for our stockholders, our employees and especially our customers, I feel as though it’s extremely important to give back to the Virginia Maritime community that has made us so successful over the years.”

Rob Robins
Senior Vice President Sales
Joining Bay Diesel in July of 2003 as a Sales Engineer, Rob has made a swift impact with his intelligence and leadership ability. As Senior VP of Sales, Rob oversees equipment sales for the entire company. Rob is a 1994 Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Virginia with a minor in Spanish. In addition to being part owner of Bay Diesel, Rob sits on the Board of Directors for Bay as well as the Board of Directors for the Propeller Club and Fest events in Norfolk. Serving the power generation industry for over a decade, Rob is a certified instructor through the Milwaukee School of Engineering. In 2006, Rob was selected by Inside Business as one of Hampton Roads’ “Top 40 Under 40” individuals.

Lynn Chandler
Executive Vice President Chesapeake Service
Lynn Chandler has been a major part of Bay Diesel since February of 1990. As Executive Vice President, Lynn oversees the operations of Bay Diesel’s parts department, service division and administrative functions. In his time with Bay Diesel, Lynn has participated in nearly every aspect of the business, including service coordination, payroll and accounting. In addition, Lynn is part owner of Bay Diesel and sits on its Board of Directors. Before joining Bay Diesel, Lynn served in the United States Navy as a member of the Construction Battalion (CB, or “Seabees” as they are more commonly referred).

Mike Mullen
Vice President, Materials & Logistics
After serving as General Parts Manager for Bay Diesel since 2005, Mike Mullen became Vice President of Materials & Logistics in November of 2009. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge to the table – specializing in hard-to-find spare parts in addition to all major brands. When away from Bay Diesel, Mike is an avid hunter and enjoys coaching his son’s Little League baseball team.

Lee Newton
Vice President of Sales
As Vice President of sales Lee specializes in large kW generator units out of our Richmond, VA location. Lee is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has an MBA from the University of Richmond. In addition to his various professional accomplishments, he has a black belt in martial arts.
